Can plastic bags help the homeless or high school students?
Every time YOU shop, YOU have the ability to help someone in need. It takes 500-700 plastic bags to make a Plastic Bag Yarn (PLARN) bed roll for the homeless. Epes shareholders will be collecting plastic bags for the month of January and February in the employee break room for the Operation Bed Roll initiative. Operation Bed Roll is a collaboration between Greensboro’s Field Operations and Police departments. It is to keep non-recyclable materials out of our landfills and help some of Greensboro's neediest residents have a safe place to sleep. Donations will also help local high school students in obtaining 250 hours of community service in order to obtain a service-learning diploma.
